Age Groups

Divisions

Brevard Flag is built for every age. Four competitive divisions give every youth athlete — from first-time players to experienced competitors — the right level of play.

Ages 6–7

Flag Rookies

An introduction to flag football for the youngest athletes. Focus is on fundamentals, fun, and building a love for the game. Short fields, simplified rules, and maximum participation.

Ages 8–9

Flag Juniors

Players begin developing core skills — routes, handoffs, defensive positioning, and team concepts. Competition increases while keeping the emphasis on development and enjoyment.

Ages 10–11

Flag Youth

A more structured competitive experience. Teams run organized offenses and defenses, and players develop the athleticism and football IQ needed to compete at the next level.

Ages 12–14

Flag Seniors

The most competitive division in the Brevard Flag league. High-level flag football with full team strategies, skilled officiating, and a playoff structure to crown a county champion.

Division Placement

Divisions may be adjusted based on registration numbers, location, and competitive balance. Brevard Flag is committed to ensuring every athlete competes at the right level. Final division assignments will be confirmed prior to the start of each season.
